Call Sounds of the Whitetail Deer

Whitetail Deer may not be that articulate.

Deer create 3 general sounds. All their noises are varieties of grunts, snorts and bleats. They use these noises in varying degrees of sound pitch and loudness in order to express basic behavior. Basically, deer respond to white tail deer hunting calls because of social intense curiosity, mating anticipation and another male deer’s intrusion. Calls include, “Come here,” “I need help,” “Back off,” “I am angry” or “I am ready to mate.”

Finding out which sounds induce unique behaviors that get you in the game, in addition to creating the accurate hunting call in the appropriate pattern gives you the opportunity to find your target.
